MBS Qualifications

Mac Business Solutions has been an Authorized Apple Reseller (Apple Reseller ID Number 22965, Apple Location Contract Number 04231) and an Authorized Apple Service Provider since 1992.

In 2011 Apple officially recognized MBS as one of the leading Apple Resellers and Service Providers in the U.S. by granting our organization the status of Apple Premier Partner and Apple Premium Service Provider, the highest any Apple Service Provider and Apple Reseller can obtain.

MBS partners with leading IT solutions providers to provide integrated software and hardware solutions to business, government and creative agencies, along with ongoing service, support and training.

We are also authorized dealers for the full range of Apple-compatible video productions products, including Blackmagic Design, RED Camera, AJA Video Systems, large format printers from Canon and Epson, most lines of monitors including LG Display Solutions, Eizo and NEC, external storage devices such as Promise, G-Tech and Sonnet, plus the full line of Hasselblad and Canon digital imaging equipment.

Although we are an Apple-focused business, we are also experienced building and supporting Windows-based organizations. We are an Authorized Microsoft Surface and Office 365 for Business Reseller.

Service Contracts

Our Apple Certified technicians have been serving federal and local government agencies since 1990. Our service contracts allow clients to purchase blocks of hours at a discount, while our maintenance agreements offer unlimited service for a flat monthly fee.

24-7 Help Desk Support

Our Help Desk Service provides priority access to MBS’s and Apple’s senior technical support staff by telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, allowing you to manage resources more efficiently, improve response time, and reduce training costs.

Top Secret Clearance

Government Sales

Mac Business Solutions, Inc. (MBS) [DUNS 60-995-0084] is a Certified Minority Owned Small Business. We are certified in Maryland with MDOT and in Virginia with SWAM. MBS is also registered with CCR, WAWF and ORCA under CAGE code 1EDV3.

MBS is one of only a handful of Apple Partners officially authorized by Apple to sell directly to the U.S. Government. As such we have done business with all branches of the US armed services and numerous government agencies, and have shipped Apple and Apple-related products to government and government-related entities across the United States and around the world.

Walter Reed Medical Center

Since 2006 Mac Business Solutions has provided Apple Mac maintenance services to the Visual Information Directorate, in an IT environment that provides no support of any kind for Apple computer products.

We have been required to apply software updates, install new hardware and software, provide on site and off site repair services, provide telephone helpdesk support. These systems are used for graphic arts production, video editing, and digital photography.

Food and Water Watch

In April 2012 MBS became the sole onsite service provider for Food and Water Watch, supporting their stock of more than 300 Apple desktops and laptops. While the organization is quite friendly to Apple equipment, their support staff is quite small.

MBS acts as their backup for support, and their sole external source for hardware and software troubleshooting and break/fix.

Rp3 Agency

Since June of 2009, shortly after the company’s founding, MBS has provided comprehensive Apple computer, network, and server support to RP3.

MBS has installed new equipment and software, performed emergency repairs in mission-critical server down engagements, provided remote helpdesk and system maintenance support, performed onsite and off site troubleshooting and break/fix, researched and advised on new technologies, and provided one-on-one training to individual users.

Voice of America

VOA has more than 400 Macintosh systems, including Final Cut Pro editing suites with XSan storage.

MBS has provided on-going support and training for VOA for more than five years.

NIH/Leidos (Contractor)

Acting as a subcontractor to Leidos, MBS has provided ongoing support for the National Institutes of Health's Apple-based photo, graphics, and video editing systems and products located at the Frederick campus since 2006, and we continue to do so today.

NIH/Apple (Contractor)

Acting as the exclusive service provider for Apple, Inc., MBS provides support on an on-call basis for literally thousands of Apple computers located at the NIH Bethesda campus. We are in the fourth year of this agreement.

Past Performance: Hardware Sales

CoStar Group

Between June 2011 and January 2012 MBS delivered more than 3400 iPads to the CoStar Group at their Washington, DC headquarters, as well as to many other locations throughout the US.

Not only was the equipment itself delivered, meeting what have often been tight schedules, every unit was activated, preconfigured and laser tagged with logos according to their specifications.

World Bank Group

In April of 2012 MBS became the designated provider of Apple equipment for employee purchase for the World Bank and their affiliates in the United States and around the world.

We established an online ordering system especially for WBG employees, shipping Apple devices to multiple destinations around the world.

MUS Army PERO EIS

Between April 2011 and December 2011 MBS provisioned four Mac servers, the JAMF Casper Suite for enterprise desktop and mobile device management of 275 iPads which were activated and configured for this project. MBS also supplied a total of 1200 iPad application licenses to the client as part of this project.

John Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory

Since December 2012 MBS has been the primary vendor of Apple equipment to the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. To facilitate their orders we have provided them access to a custom-built online ordering and order tracking system.

West Point Military Academy

Since 2014, Mac Business Solutions has been providing iPads for the USMA West Point freshmen Cadets.

MBS sends a designated team of specialists, computer terminals and servers loaded with custom-built software tools designed in-house.

This process ensures that thousands of iPads of different models are hand-delivered to its corresponding cadet in less than 48 hours.

Mars Chocolate NA

Between March 2011 and December 2011 MBS delivered more than 550 iPads to Mars Chocolate and two other divisions of Mars in the US.

All of these iPads were activated and configured with Mars' custom training application and a profiled with security and configuration parameters specified by MARS.

Most orders have been delivered to Mars facilities in New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, and California.

Statement of Capabilities

MBS is a full service dealer for Apple's macOS, iOS and watchOS products, and has a thorough understanding of, and experience providing, configuration services for these Apple devices to conform with the requirements of secure networks and email systems.

Our experience providing long-term support to such organizations as the NIH, the National Naval Medical Center, and the Voice of America, as well as many private companies, gives us a unique insight into the challenges presented by integrating Apple hardware into secure environments.

MBS is authorized on two of the leading MDM solutions available today: Air-Watch and the JAMF Casper Suite. As such we are well positioned to do a comparative study of these two systems.

As part of our iOS configuration service, we provide documentation to help new users get up to speed, customized for the particular needs of the organization. We have also provided hands-on onsite training for end users and IT staff when requested.

Since 2012 we have provided a wide range of services to expedite and secure iOS rollouts for our customers.

These services have included:
